howto block wireless client which has bad signal

hello,

i was hoping that i can block wireless clients with bad signal levels with either the access list or the connect list. according to the manual that works only for AP’s, but not to block a wireles client. lets say i want a client (pc, wireless router or what ever) only allow access to the AP if the signal is -85 or better.

any help is appreciated.

that would not help here. on some AP’s we have pay monthly customers which are installed by us and we ensure good signal with the installation. on the same radio we might have a virtual AP for hotspot on which i have no influence on the signal levels, that virtual AP is where i need a solution to prevent bad connections.

the whole reason to do so is that we experienced in the past that one single bad connected CPE can have a bad effect on all customers surf experience. is that what other experience as well or should that be unique to us ?

This config don’t work, I tried in various router and no work,for you work?I tried in 3.13,3.20,3.24,3.27 and no luck!!!

you can do it, but not in the access list. in the connect list (meant for clients)
