http probe to get data from db

Hi.

I’d like to display in labels data about devices read from a mysql db

i.e.
dude - >
http:X.X.X.X/query?MAC=AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF
< - web server
SERIAL NUMBER: 0123456789

Is there a way to query a web server and get informations to display it in labels?
