HTTPS redirection for Captive Portal

We all know that for Wi-Fi hotspot (Android devices), we are not able to redirect HTTPS website to our captive portal landing page.

However, I had seen other Wi-Fi that able to redirect HTTPS website to page below. (Refer screenshot). User are able to redirect to the captive portal landing page if they clicked CONNECT button, may I know how to do this using Mikrotik?

Thank you!

mark rote dst port 443 to the wanted route

It’s not done by RouterOS, it’s done by client (browser or OS). Basically they have own testing servers with http (not https) and known content. They try to connect there and if they get something else than expected (because hotspot tried to do http redirect), they will assume there’s hotspot and offer login page. There’s nothing to set up, it just works. Unless you whitelist these testing servers by mistake, in that case hotspot would not interfere and client won’t be able to detect it.
