Huawei HG8240 & Bridge & RB450G

Hi guys,

In the past I had connection of 30mb fiber with an old Huawei in bridge mode and my RB450G was working fine, this week I´ve made an upgrade and changed to 100mb fiber, the company came and change to a new model of Huawei (hg8240). It´s not in bridge mode… I tryed everything, but looks like this new model has a new type of connection , so I need to put another roter after the hg8240 and than put my rb450G getting dynamic IP.

I just want my Huawei in bridge mode and my rb450 to connect directly on the hg8240.

Did somebody make this possible. My old one I just had to go inbto the admin and change the type of the connection to bridge and thats it, my rb had to dial the PPPoE and that worked fine for years. This new one, I have only few option on the menu and none are related to put in bridge mode. Looking the other router that the company put in after it, lokos like it has more than just a PPPoE dial, it´s something new that I am not able to replicate on my RB…

Here are some print-screens of what I have…

thanks for the help.

Hi all… just made possible…

The problem was related to PPPoE over vLan. This new HG is not possible to be in bridge. But with th help of this post here (http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/pppoe-client-over-vlan-low-throughput-on-rb750gl/63579/1) I achieved wat I want, took off the extra router in the network.

Thanks.
