im fighting for weeks now with a stupid problem!
The issues:
OSPF stops working
Cause of OSPF Stop, all L2TP connections went down until OSPF is restarted
RX Drops on Ethernet
Version 5.22 on x86 System with NIC Intel PRO 1000
First we replaced the wire to our switch. Then we replaced the whole machine! I also tried NBMA instead of broadcast. Always with the same result. As long OSPF is running, i get random RX Drops on Ethernet. After round about 12 hours the OSPF is “crashing” again. I also tried Version 6.0rc4 with new driver but it won’t work as it should.
As you can see in the log the neighbors went down, but they didn’t went down. On the other machines their logs said only Mikrotik changes his state from Full to Down! What can i do? Please help me!
I’m nearly upset within this problem! No solution? Wrote for over a week ago Mikrotik support with all information suppout file etc. but no response yet. Nothing. I would appreciate not to move OSPF to another manufacturer. I also contacted our distributor to solve this problem but he also hadn’t an idea. Now he wrotes an email, maybe he get’s response …
Last week we bought a new NIC ( Intel 82574L EXPI9301CT ) and now all problems are gone! No more RX Drops, no more OSPF crashes. Running for over 2 Days… all fine!
