I am looking for the optimal way to use a radio for double duty, mesh & non-mesh. I am currently using EoIP tunnels.
For example.
RB1200 at tower, sectors attached to ethernet ports on RB1200.
client1 is regular client
client2 is actually able to see two tower sites so I am going to put them into the mesh.
Currently I have an HWMP+ Mesh running on EoIP links between tower routers. Each link to another tower has an EoIP tunnel between the two routers, which are then added to the mesh. This does work.
My question is, can I just put the radios into the mesh directly and still allow access to regular non-mesh clients?
Alternatively, should I consider just putting a VLAN on the link between towers and put the VLANs in the mesh? Less overhead than a tunnel?
