I am in Problem. If you can help me

Dear Mr.

Salam

I have a MikroTik Router one input and one output

The input LAN (UTP)

The output Wireless LAN

I setup the wireless LAN and it working normally and the SSID appear unsecured

Q. How can active the web key and appeared the SSID secured when any one connect this SSID he must have web key.

Note: I don’t have access point

Regard,
bashar

web key?

obviously he means wep key , no need for wondering !!!

I cant tell from the description of the problem if this is to be an AP or client ???

If AP then (leels like writing code…)
set a WEP code in the wireless interface tab (for that interface)
or in a security profile. remember to set the interface type = AP-Bridge.

Else
Set the WEP code in the security profile.
END

This may be over simplified but take a look in the wireless section of the online manual and it is all layed out there…

PS, WEP is just about useless… you may want to look at WPA2 if you can…
