good day, I have a CCR1036-8G-2S+ device, it has 2 users, I opened one for my friend.

Netinstall, if you have no other entries.
They might have one more solution to use. Two accounts were mentioned, if the second one has admin rights too then it obviously should be able to change/reset password of the first one 
Included image shows the friend has a read only account.
So reinstall is the only option.
But the “read” account would allow exporting the configuration so that it can be restored/re-imported/re-applied after netinstall, right? 
Not if there are passwords or any authentication settings. regular config yes
