I have a problem with an Oppo A15 mobile phone

It connects without problems with the following settings:

1- Authentication type: WPA3-PSK, WPA2-PSK FT Enabled: Off -> authenticates as wpa3-psk
2- Authentication type: WPA3-PSK FT Enabled: Off -> authenticates as wpa3-psk
3- Authentication type: WPA2-PSK FT Enabled: On -> authenticates as ft-wpa2-psk

It doesn't connect or leave any log entries with the following configurations

1- Authentication type: WPA3-PSK, WPA2-PSK FT Enabled: On
2- Authentication type: WPA3-PSK FT Enabled: On

From what I can see, the problem is with WPA3-PSK FT Enabled: On. Is there anything that can be done?

Just don't use WPA3-PSK

What you can do, create supout file and share that and the config with support

Have you already enabled debug logging for wifi to get some additional logging?

/system logging
add topics=debug,wireless

Do you require FT? Or wpa3-psk?
Can you share your wireless settings?

/interface/wifi export

Have you checked on the Oppo forum (if there is any)?
Have you tried removing the SSID from the Oppo and readd the wireless network?

Have to admit that at home I use Ruckus Unleashed WiFi just because I like it but I absorve situations when some devices do not accepted WPA2/WPA3 mixed setting of my configuration. I had to create separated WPA2 only SSID just for these devices.
Please remeber that not all drivers for used gear are updated for new standards and there is a need to dumb down the network to common denominator accepted by all users.

You could’ve said “just leave your network open” as well

Chinese phones don’t always implement WPA3 correctly :frowning:

You do not need to expose SSID. Quite simple first solution to not ask crackers for a visit .... I know ... week, stupid etc . but if someone skilled wants to break in then you are already out of luck.
How many non Chinesse phone manufacturers could you suggest to choose from? At a reasonable price of course.
What to do with IoT devices that stick with 802.11b/g standards? VLAN, advanced firewall ... yeah, right, I see "the sea of average Joes and Janes" securing their networks with VLANs:)
Even quite contemporary laptops/computers do have problems dealing with WPA3/WPA2 mixture.

Sorry for the delay

I have it enabled, but I still don't get any logs related to the connection.

The problem is in the combination of WPA3-PSK and FT Enable.
If I only use WPA3-PSK, the mobile connects as long as FT is turned off.
In the end, on my network which has 2 APs, I left it with WPA2-PSK and FT enabled, and on my daughter's network which only has one, I set it to WPA2-PSK and WPA3-PSK with TF disabled.
