I attempted to change the Radio Name on two MikroTik radios by changing the router’s identity. In SSH i can see the new identity but the old radio name still appears in the registration table. Is there something im missing besides changing the identity of a radio?

Even on some of the UBNT Access Points the old identity still shows up after changing it.

There are many different things:

  1. Identity. This only shows in console when you log in, has nothing to do with Wireless
  2. SSID. This is what you see when you do wireless scan from other machines.
  3. Radio name. If you use same SSID on many devices to accomplish roaming, you can use Radio name as a secondary identifier, to differentiate between multiple wireless devices
