hello
i want to ask and know somthing , i have theses :
-1 windows server 2003 RDP ( remote ) internet speed 100 mb
-2 mikrotik server 3.30 at home with internet speed 2 mb
i want to know if i can drive the intrnet from windows server 2003 into my mikrotik remotly ??
is there anyway to do this ?
Any internet requests (traffic to non local subnets) from the windows server will follow the route table of the windows server to find the remote host. If you windows server is using the MikroTik as its default route then it will “drive” internet from the windows server to the MikroTik. As far as remotely making a change to any device you have to have remote access to the device.
If you are trying to port forward traffic through the MikroTik then you will need to setup src-nat (for outgoing traffic) or dst-nat (for incoming traffic) rules in the MikroTik.
thanks man 4 your help
what if i installed vmware player and installed mikrotik ont it ?? can i drive the internet from mikrotik that installed on windows server 2003 to my home mikrotik board remotely ??
You can route traffic with windows. I doubt that you need to install a virtual router on the machine. What is the symptom that your trying to alleviate and what context is the symptom experienced in?
