Hello. Today I bought Mikrotik Chateau LTE (I suppose It’s LTE12). I live in a countryside, so my previous router was very bad. I was getring 1-2 mbps/s. Since I got Mikrotik It got to 10-20 mbps and It’s not really stable. But I watched skme videos and I’m pretty sute it can get up to 100. But I can’t seem to find any tutorials on any configurations or what to do whatsoever. I live in Latvia and use Bite. Can someone help? Thanks.

Where is your “Useful user article”?
If you had 1-2 Mbit and now your have 10x more speed, what is your complaint really? You expect to have a 100 times increase in speed? This will not happen. If you had 1-2Mbit, it probably means your signal is weak or you are sharing the mobile tower with many other people. Routers are not magic, you can’t expect 100x increase in speed just like that.

Do you expect that if you watch videos about fast Lamborghini you can always drive it so fast despite the road conditions?
I believe that Chateau LTE have possibility for adding external LTE antenna so maybe if you want higher speeds you should invest in some antennas.
If you have line of sight towards cell tower maybe you can squeeze some more speed that way.
I have 5G on my phone and in my capital city where I work I get 1.2Gbps DL but at home I get maybe 60-80 Mbps… Maybe your tower doesn’t transmit on more bands, you should check what is your nearest cell tower and check how many bands transmit
If there is like here in Italy, “they” don’t invest in the countryside,
it’s more convenient to invest in densely populated places, and therefore you dream of 100Mb by LTE…
Otherwise what would I, the other WISPs and MikroTik be doing?..
I just wondered if I can get it any better. I’m already happy. To be honest im a complete retard in routers configurations. Now I understand that Mikrotik isn’t for users like me, well I already paid so. Thanks for the help!
Why do you think that ? There are many Mikrotik users that are total noobs when it comes to networking and router configuration (including myself) but if you are willing to learn a little bit you will see that people here are helpful and soon enough you will learn some basics that you need.
I am just like you mark, no networking experience, no training, but I managed to get the hang of things a little bit, and even old, so no excuses LOL

Yeah I see now. I just put It in the wrong topic and described it incorrectly so some people got a little mad. I’m willing to learn I already downloaded winbox and It all seems really intersting. Still don’t have a clue what to do but I guess I’ll get it eventually. Thank you.
