hi all
i have an idea and i want you to share me it
i want to make a support for my customers
i mean i want to devote apart of hard disk which i use as mikrotik servir for movies and some games and i share thiem as links to my customers
so they can dowenload itt fast
i tried to use ftp
but you know it is easy for any one to delete the files (if read onley so)

so how can we do that??

plzz share us your ideas

you cannot use your router as a storage server

if you already used FTP with read only, what’s the problem?

but any user can delet the files easy

You can put on your router board with additional storage if your system support microSD or USB storage then provide download through mikrotik router internal web server.

like if you upload some files to your router board with ftp server then any one can download like this…

we are suing the same way as we are big ISP so we have tieup with many soft and service providers so we provide antivirus and other softwares to our customers.

sorry, but “READ” permission is only related to RouterOS configuration. the FTP permission grants full access to files with FTP, there is no way to give read-only FTP access.
