i want to make the sextant 5hnd to acts as access point but

hi every one i have a sextant 5hnd …i want it to acts as access point /bridge …but this message appear to me when i applied that option…what does that mean ? what i have to do ? how can i do that ? with thanks

SXT has level 3 licence. That means it can only be a client.
For AP you need device with at least Level 4.

You can check Licence with
\System licence print
command

But. to use “AS” AP, but in bridge mode.

If you are doing a PtP link, set one device to “bridge”, the other to “station”

“bridge” is the same as AP-bridge, but only allows 1 client.

thank you very much …but i would like to set the device as access point/bridge .and i dont know how i get that license from mikrotik company to let the sextant acts as access point/bridge

Change license Level

  1. There are no license level upgrades, if you wish to use a different license Level, please purchase the appropriate level. Be very careful when purchasing for the first time, choose the correct option.
  2. Why is it not possible to change license level (ie. upgrade license)? Just like you can’t easily upgrade your car’s engine from 2L to 4L just by paying the difference, you can’t switch license levels as easily. This is a policy used by many software companies, choose wisely when making your purchase! Instead we have lowered the prices, and removed the software update time limit.

You have to buy a new level 4 license ($45) and change license on your device.
Old license wiil be lost, but there is no other way to do that.
