i want to set up a wan

Can anyone give me some of their valuable knowledge please? I am pretty new to the world of wireless networking. I wish to start transmission from an aerial to another one about 10 km away, and from the receiving antenna, I wish to retransmit from this aerial, probably via an omni, to another receiving antenna, we shall call this antenna 2, and from this antenna 2, I wish to send a cable to a computer, and I also wish to retransmit at 90 degrees antenna2 , via another aerial or maybe another omni ( ? interference ) to another aerial about 400 metres away.
The antennae require to be configured, I am not sure how to do this, but with some help, I am sure I can set the system up, can set it up at home so the various components are communicating. I can use winbox, I just don’t have the know how as to how to put the system together.
Hope you can help
Joe

Only one hint: Never use Omnidirectional antenna for ptp or ptmp transmissions.

Use Sextant for 10Km range and use STX for low range, on each edge.

Surely, you not are a WISP, from the request you have made.

Remember: if you are not authorized WISP, you can not cross other property with your signals.
Check your country regulations, or if you generate interference with authorized WISPs, or if you are caugth, you can be in serious trouble…

Hi, thanks for writing…
This is a personal wan, a wisp is a business based, according to my understanding of the expression…
I had a network already in place, but the bad weather destroyed the antennae…I live on the west coast of Ireland, and we had exceptionally bad weather…also, the person who put the original masts etc up has emigrated, and I have to start again…
The Sextant which you describe is available here for €70…I will need at least two of these…the first one to broadcast, the second to receive, but after this , I had an omni which rebroadcasted the signal, the signal was then picked up by a flat panel aerial, this aerial in turn fed a cat 5 cable to a shed, and this aerial also fed another aerial set at 90 degrees to itself, which allowed the signal to travel to the final aerial, a house…so what I was hoping was that someone might be able to guide me in setting these aerials up…
I am aware that the initial Sextant contains the router that can be used to allow access by the second aerial to the signal, but I need some help in exactly how to do this, and how to configure the other antennae to do the same thing…if there was a Youtube video or website link, that would be great…

Thanks

Joe
