iBGP RR Client option missing from v7.16+

Hi all,

Does anyone know why local.role=ibgp-rr-client has gone from v7.16 onwards? I’ve been trying to set up on v7.17.2 thinking there was a different way to configure it but confirmed on older firmware the option is still there. Nothing in the release notes so not sure if it is a bug or purposely removed?

 ibgp-rr-client had no special meaning, it is the same as ibgp

OK so how can we configure a router to be a RR Client? If using just ibgp we are required to build full mesh?

No, you are not required to build full mesh, you just need to establish iBGP session to route reflector. Reflections are being done on the reflector not the client.
