iburst modem not conecting?

Right now i only want the modem to connect…

So I plug the my iBurst Modem in lest say port 5…
Then Create a PPPoe client with my username and password

is thats it???
Because I tried that and its just not working

If I plug the modem directly in my PC and use my windows to connect pppoe it works fine…
But like I said I just can make the modem connect when connected to the RB450

I need help plz

is PPPoE client is on only to connect to a pppoe server or can be use to connect to my ISP?

I don’t think ibusrts works on mikrotik unles you run it through the usb port then you might get ther not sure what you want to acheive

So let say it doesnt work
I do have a linksys wrt54gl that works with my iburst modem…

Can I connect the wrt54gl to my RB450 and make the wrt my WAN port and use the 4 last port of my rb450 to act like a switch

If yes how… i seriously need help

450 is a “router” and you can configure it to do it

thanks to erastus coetzee we found out that my firmware wasn’t working properly we downgraded to 4.10 and now I can get a connection

they do work,

U need to change the MTU and MRU for it to work.

took me forever to find that out.

BTW:

I had the smae problem again.


both the MRU and MTU have to be set to 1392 !!!

otherwise she wont work!!!
