hi, just installed a mikrotik to be a transparent bridge shaper,
it receives a 130mbps internet feed , set as rstp brige , no routing , only with bridge firewall enabled but with no rules , and a few simple queues (about 30) avg 100mbits and 22000 packets per second, the cpu avg is 30% on v3.7 multi core - on , pentium d 2.8ghz.
i going to buy 2 rb1000 to do the same task and make a vrrp with redundant path from the internet feed and failover of these bridge.
i would like to have an idea if the rb1000 will perform better than this hp pro liant ml 110 g4 server that i described above.
asking that coz it will cost my job if the rb1000 wont..
