Hi guys, I’ve a network printer in my lan and I need to print on it also when I’m away..
I know Google Cloud printer service, but I’m looking for some idea to not use external service.
I know that probabily is not the best solution from the security point of view, but may I open a firewall port to nat my printer?
Sure you can do that. Make sure you have reams of paper in stock!

Setup PPTP VPN, it’s the simplest and secure enough for home use.
Do NOT nat forward to your printer, you will end up with an empty printer and very likely locked out of it yourself.
vpn its the most appropriated
take in count some times the printing traffic its too much voluminous (big) and via WAN can be too slow
