Now is when Mikrotik does not respond or says that everything is going well
State of Mikrotik WIFI is always at least one generation behind (right now it’s more like a two generations behind). When the wave2 hardware finally arrives, it will be marketed as best thing on earth, while competition will be selling 802.11ax gear like hot pancakes…
If you want latest technology, best throughput and all the new features, you simply can’t get them from Mikrotik. Waiting for new hardware is like waiting for Godot, it will never come until it’s too late. Or you get something like RB4011 where it took 15 months to figure out why wifi doesn’t work correctly… and it’s still not confirmed if it’s really fixed.
Solution is to just use Mikrotik where it’s strong (60GHz,Routing,some switches - as long as you don’t get one with flapping ports) and just don’t bother with rest…
Mikrotik in the past years has wasted his credibility in wireless market (no spectral scan, no wave 2 support, arm issue, poor perfomance, no new hardware, ecc, ecc) I don’t think they have interest to regain it and to have respect for us (we was they richness)
The Normis words have no sense which kind of hope and when?
I sayed it the hole last year, don’t spend anything in Mikrotik Wirleess, there is no future!
There is no move, there is no information.
Our decision is done, we only need Mikrotik spare parts for the old areas…
We use 60ghz, until there is an better solution from someone else.
But in near Future we don’t have any Mikrotik in our Network…
Routing does not have needed IPv6 Features (same here as Wireless), no Info, no Roadmap, nothing ,
so at the Point we run out of IPv4, we move away from Mikrotik, because no complete IPv6 integration.

I only have 10℅ of my wireless network with mikrotil and this Christmas I will change it for another brand if a miracle does not happen. finally stop bothering mikrotik in this forum
What brand did you chose? There are many other low cost vendors that promise more than MikroTik, but neither have much experirnce nor are tested in higher density situations (campus environment)

Yes: ROS v7.0 does have a new Kernel
No: ROS v7.0 does have the same Wireless drivers as ROS v6, i.e. MikroTik programs its own Wireless drivers and doesn’t use the drivers provided by the vendors of the Chipsets (e.g. Broadcom, Qualcomm,…)
Those vendors drivers have everything ready to use, even 802.11ax features, nowadays:
- DL & UL OFDMA
- DL MU-MIMO
- BSS Coloring
- TWT
- TxBF
As of 01/2020 we are all still waiting for DL MU-MIMO for our 802.11ac (Wave 2) chipset based MikroTik Access Points: cAP ac, hAP ac2, RB4011,…
Only one single developer from MikroTik “Reinis” knows when he will finish his own implementation of MU-MIMO …
I really REALLY hope this is not true, that just one developer is responsible for all wireless drivers in ROS.
Beside Normis who doesn’t belong to the developer Team I think, only Reinis talked about MU-MIMO 6 months ago:

Look into changelogs and see how many entries are for wireless. If there would be a bigger team only for wireless I would guess they have to argue progress.

You should know by now, that MikroTik doesn’t leak unannounced products in the forum. At least intentionally.
Such things get announced in newsletters and MUM events.
- normis isn´t a developer, either.
- So let´s ask nOoNe about the status of MU-MIMO implementation.
