If I configure MLAG, do all the aggregations have to use it?

If I configure two MikroTiks using LACP, do all the aggregations I connect to them have to use MLAG, or can I mix them?

I mean the situation in the attachment, can I connect MikroTik 4 and MikroTik 5 to individual nodes as a regular LACP aggregation without using MLAG?

MLAG presents what looks like a single LACP device to the other device. All connections you show are possible, and they’re all configured as LACP.

The only difference is the configuration on the MLAG pair (1 & 2). You’d have to set an MLAG ID for Mikrotik3’s bond interface on Mikrotik1 and Mikrotik2, but you wouldn’t for the other two. VLANs destined for any of the switches (3, 4, 5) would need to also be sent over the MLAG peer link as well. (There is an exception to that latter rule, but it goes against MLAG best practices.)

As for Mikrotik 3, 4, and 5’s configuration, they are set up as a normal LACP bond.
