igmp proxy iptv - artifacts in picture problem

Hi

I configured igmp proxy on my mikrotik for use with provaider iptv. The channels working on vlc player but I have artifacts in picture.

Anybody have similar problem?

What model router do you have?

This sounds like packet loss - due to either cpu, or else network congestion or a network link that’s taking errors.

Make sure the CPU of the router isn’t hitting 100% when you’re watching the stream - if so, then you might need to either simplify/improve your firewall rules or else use a more powerful router.

Make sure your Internet speed isn’t being maxed out when watching a stream.

I have CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN and CPU usage is 40%-60% when streaming.

I’ve seen other people have improvements when they set the interface queue type to ethernet-default instead of only-hardware-queue.

I’d like to bump this one. Has anybody ever solved this? Looking over the forums this seems to be one thing nobody has an good answer too.

(I’m also seeing lot’s of artifacts with UDP/IPTV)
