Impossibile to downgrade from 6.42.7 ??

Hi all,
i’m trying to dowgrade the firmware of some RB493G, from 6.42.7 to 6.38.5
I did this operation a lot of times in the past, just unboxing the RB, connecting to it via winbox , uploading the old firmware, and using packages->downgrade function in winbox,
and everything was ok all the times.
Now, last two RBs i received from my reseller came with 6.42.7 and i can’t downgrade the firmware.

Any idea ?

Hi,

maybe this is related to the bridge functionality change starting with ROS 6.41.
Try netinstalling the devices instead of downgrading.

The issue preventing @jackburton from downgrading particular device to desired ROS version was determined in another thread: factory ROS version is higher than what OP wanted to install. And that’s not possible.
