Hello,
Weird issue/bug accrued in ROS. 7.11 with hap ax3. After some changing datapath.vlan-id on interface wifi1 tx-power reported by monitor jump as high as 50 !! (proper tx-power range is 0..40). Reenabling interface did nothing only router reboot drop it down to 17. Tx-power and gain is not set (all to defaults) and all is set to regulatory domain. If this value reported by monitor was really true it possibly could be harmful to wifi card. What could cause this ?
If the value, reported by monitor, was true, then your power adapter would be fried … 50dBm translates to 100W (and add similar value due to inefficient Tx power amplifier) … So I’d say that that value was simply a bug in reading actual value from chipset.
Thank you again mkx for fast reply ![]()
I think i figured out what happened. This is again when ROS crashed (because autosupout.rif was automatically generated) from cli but this time silently and messed in config. Looks like ROS 7 is still in beta stage. I hope it is going to be more decent soon.
