Another wish but probably will never be delivered is better load balancing… seems that MK’s do not really live up to this standard.
i think that you do not know exactly what you want ;p
you have:
ECMP
NTH
PCC
BGP
TE
OSPF
policy routing (you can mark what you want and send this traffic where you want)
and for each of these functions you can use scripts, traffic-monitor or what else…
First from the shore:

I think that the problem is between the keyboard and the monitor…
Mikrotik has just about the most modular load-balancing support there is.
You can really do any kind of LB you want, you just need to know what you want and how to do it.
See the link in my sig for a review of most popular LB setups in the 1st half of the presentation.
Willbur apparently wanted from developers button in the Winbox “do everything well.” ![]()
It would be nice if there is a magic “do everything automaticly” menu in winbox ![]()
You can choose 2 or more interface, then pick the load balancing methode, pcc nth round robin whatever,
apply, then abrakadabra the load balancing just works ![]()
Well the simple setup wizard in the new versions of routerOS was a welcome sight. I didnt have to setup my first switch or bridging in my rb2011. It also setup the AP for me.
How tits would that be if there was a “doing complicated things” wizard built into winbox?
