Hi there..
I’ve run into a little weird thing..
In the (web)client of both 3.6 and 4b3 I see some admins logged in with either web/tcp, some secure some not.
I’ve set general session time out to 12 hrs what should be more then enough for the session to disappear at a certain moment because none of my coworkers is that much of a work-aholic..
(me neither btw..
)
All admins are set to:
Name: xx
Password: yy
Group: read (one of many copied groups..
) (which is a bug if you ask me..)
Allowed address: 0.0.0.0/0 (because of at this moment still weird IP-plan)
Allow more then one: YES
Seperate Panels: NO
Even if they log out nice and smooth the session remains active days after logging of and even over the weekend and/or holidays.
The wierd thing is that this isn’t the case for all admins and adjusting the settings to that of those who give no trouble doesn’t solve the problem.
Only Admin, myself and my direct coworker have full rights and we don’t have problems..
Some have only read rights, some have write rights. If I change one of the read/write rights to full hoping for disappearing connections I can hope for that for the coming decade.. It’s not going to happen..
Would you guys please be so kind to look into the following issues:
- Within the group list there are lots of duplicates created in the process of upgrading from version to version, this is annoying.. since you can’t delete builtin groups.. (this inablitity appears on some other inconvenient places too btw)
- Within the active admin settings some of them remain listed as active for weeks after session end. This is not making things clearer.., a better (auto) cleanup of this list would help, or the ability to delete zombie admin connections.
- Maybe it’s an idea to set session timeout for each and every single account you create..?
Well, this is it now.
Wish you all a nice weekend and till the next time..
Best regards,
Minollie
