I want to use my old prepaid key. On the “Key Order Page” I see “Prepaid keys: Licence L4 / P1 1x” but the CHR has a “System ID” but not “Software ID” and when I pasted System ID from my CHR, I received the message: “Incorrect Software ID”
I mentioned it in another post but didn’t get much replies - I got answer that license from RouterBOARD to X86 systems are not transferable - but I also have a problem when I try to buy a new one. And with prepaid keys - you can choose which type, so it’s not transfer as I can see it.
So my CHR is locked as free. I tried to generate a new ID but same thing - like its too long (it is longer than routerBOARD IDs): zHd6X+LOy6L
You must user ROS build in license function for CHR. U cannot use website to enter system-ID.
Once you let your router go online, and setup DNS, it asks for mtik account login details and u activate your trial license. Once you do that, you can see CHR key on account portal, that you can update, both by using prepaid key or deposit!!!
Hope everyone who had same problem will find answer quicker than I did.
I have a similar problem (CHR locked in free mode). Where is the “login to MT account” UI in the CLI or Winbox? I see a place to enter username/password in \System\License\Renew License and when I enter my u/p and say “renew license” it succeeds (e.g. if I enter an incorrect password it rejects the login, so I know it is contacting MT, and it updates the license type), however, the CHR never shows up in my MT account in the web site (like the docs imply it should). Any ideas how to debug or fix this?
Well acctualy no, I had no problems in seeing CHR on portal once I entered the account data, in system\licence\renew - I see CHR with system-ID i get in winbox, on web site - Account - chr - all keys
