Indoor 802.11n w/2xMimo (2.4ghz)

I have used 802.11n in outdoor environments with dual pol antennas; but do not have experience with indoor 802.11n. I am looking to setup 3 N AP’s for a school system. I had planned on using some sort of indoor/outdoor enclosure with some small 7db mesh antennas screwed into the enclosure. When setting up 2 MIMO omni’s, I was thinking there was a certain distance spacing for the antennas. Is this correct? If so is there a certain mathematical formula to use when calculating MIMO omni spacing in the 2.4ghz spectrum?

You should have the antennas physically separated, at least several inches, up to several feet depending on how far away your clients are going to be. There is not an exact distance required/necessary.

Thanks for the reply. It is going to be indoor only and shouldn’t be a huge coverage area. But there will be walls and obstructions. The plan was to use a Pac enclosure and place 2 7db omni antennas about 8-10 inches apart. I will give it a shot.
