I am looking for a case for the rb435g with enough antenna holes.
Last time I read about it, MT still had it in development. I am not sure if this is still the case or not.
why do you need a RB435 indoors? It has 5 miniPCI slots, it’s meant as an outdoor device. currently we have no plans to make a specific indood case.
I want to use it as my router and include wireless 2.4 and 5 GHz in one box.
For this i need
- routerOS
- fast cpu (680Mhz) or up.
- Gigabit (two port minimal)
- 2.4 and 5 GHz (either miniPCI/onboard card or combination)
411 series doesn’t have Gigabyte.
433 series doesn’t have Gigabyte.
435 fits
450 doesn’t have miniPCI or wireless
711 Only 2.4 or 5 GHz
750 doesn’t have miniPCI or wireless (i have a 750G)
493G fits
Which one would be a better fit ?
given that there exists no RB435G indoor case, your only option is RB493G, as it fits inside the indoor case just fine, especially if you use only the top two miniPCI slots (the one closer to the box lid, can have problems with big MMCX pigtail connectors)

Or you could desolder the bottom miniPCIe slots like this.
