Indoor/ Outdoor Wireless Solution for Distances up to 90m - Mikrotik Omnitik 5 AC POE vs. GrooveA 52 AC

Hi all,

I am looking for a solution to work wireless up to 90m Outdoor/Indoor.
I am interested in GrooveA 52 AC (including the omni 6/8dBi antenna) or Omnitik 5 AC POE. What is your suggestion? Do you have some experience with the models ?
Thank you very much for any help

What will be the second side?

Good day,

What are you planning to setup, a 5ghz access point for mobile devices?

Hi
You can look at RBMetalG-52SHPacn or RBMetal2SHPn. It has a super high power output.
You can get around a radius 250m.

@jarda - currently Intel Edison

5Ghz AP to clients, Clients will send data to AP.

Then you need to count with tx power asymmetry of both sides and compensate it by selection of antennas and tx power settings…

Remember to order device with ROS Level at least 4. Level 3 does not let you configure device as AP.
Omnitik has two antennas which let you to broadcast 2.4GHz an 5GHz at same time, Groove lets choose one freq at the moment so Omniktik is more flexible.

Omnitik 5 ac allows only 5g band in two polarisations. Therefore it is better than groove which has only one chain. I would vote for omnitik if the option to switch to 2g band is not important. Be sure you put good antennas for clients or ensure there will be no foreign interference in the area of your interest.

My error … I have to agree.
Double frequency gives much, much better coverage so the solution should be for 2.4 and 5 GHz … what if clinet’s device is 2.4GHz capable only?

Therefore I told that previously. Edison has bgn, missing a or ac… But who knows what the clients will be after that…

Can RBMetalG-52SHPacn 2.4/5GHz do 2.4 + 5Ghz simultaneously ?
Can it handle it same time without switching?
What equipment can broadcast 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz at the same time and 360degrees?
