Initial PayPal setup??

On a test lashup, I’m trying to cobble together my first pay service using User Manager, Hotspot, and PayPal. Every time I think I am making progress, I discover another task necessary and so much further to go to make it work.

Right now I’m stuck on making a working PayPal gateway. I have a sandbox account at PayPal and I’m trying to follow the instructions at

but the screens I see and the screens in the wiki don’t match. My screens have absolutely nothing about PayPal anywhere in them, and I can’t find any that do. Was I supposed to load some kind of additional package, or is this document outdated, or what?

Answer seems to be that the most available online documentation is for an obsolete User Manager version. Proper documentation for current version is at:

and not

Lots of other people have complained about this problem, but there’s no good way to search for these complaints in the forum, so everybody has to re-invent this wheel. :frowning:
