Is there any option within winbox to enable inline comments per default?
“Sessions” may be the answer. You can save the layout as a session file when connected to a router, and next time pick that file as the “Session” on the winbox login screen. The session aren’t specific to the router, so you can use same session file with routers you didn’t save it on.

It was pretty annoying changing it every time ^^
I’ve also found out, that there’s an option within the menus of winbox to enable inline-comments in general. Somehow I’ve overseen that!
