I'm having an issue that I think is hardware-related.
I bought a new Chateau 5G R17 ax router.
I turned it on and set it up, but I noticed that the WiFi signal is very weak on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, even though the router is in the room next to mine. I’ve tried all the solutions that were suggested to me
and even changed the settings, but nothing has changed. I feel like the built-in antennas aren’t connected to the motherboard, because when I move them and check the signal, nothing happens at all it’s as if they’re completely disabled.
Do you have any suggestions regarding this? What should I do to fix this problem?
Honestly, everything else about this router is perfect, but this issue is really bothering me.
I have also bought this, and not having any issues with the wifi.
You can see on this forum how the antennas being connected to the motherboard, and see how some users hacking the hardware to get more LTE 5G speed. https://confusedbird.com/thread-119-post-4002.html#pid4002
Thank you Patrik
I’ll try opening the device and checking the external antenna connections. I hope the fault is just a loose connection and not a fault with the circuit board
