Inserting GBIC into Cloud Router Switch 125

Hello All,

We have a Mikrotik CRS125 happily deployed, and now the boss wants to put gbic modules in and convert to fiber, instead of the copper uplink.

Do we need to power down the Mikrotik to insert the gbic module, or is it hot-enabled, that we can just push it in, and not burn anything out?

SFP Modules in all Mikrotik Gear that I have used including the CCR, CRS and RB2011are hot swappable.

So you can switch to fiber live.
