I want to install a second Atheros PCI WLan card in my pre-configured RB433AH. The second device shows up in the System Resources but has no IRQ or IO .
How do I initiate the hardware so the RB433 detects the second wireless card.
There should not be any problems to install second card to RB433.
- Make sure second wireless card is working properly;
- Open the box and check that cards are not touching each other and not shortening any parts.
The second AR5213 802.11abg NIC (rev:1) does not work in either of the other two pci slots of the RB433ah.
The AR5213 does work in a separate good RB411 board.
A known good AR5213 from a working RB411 board when installed in the RB433ah does not show up on the interface list of the RB433ah. Still only get the one wlan1 card interface detected.
It does show up in the resouces PCI list of te RB433ah with different IRQ and memory allocation

Double click on Resources/PCI Device gives Vendor ID 0x168c, Device ID 0x0013, IRQ49, Mem 10000000-17ffffff hex
PCI AR5213 is Resources/PCI 00:14.0,
Double click on Resources/PCI device gives Vendor ID 0x168c, Device ID 0x0013, IRQ50, Mem 10010000-1001ffff hex
In the Resources IRQ list only IRQ50 shows up as PCI ath0
Will try a config of a single card in each PCI slot to confirm operation of each PCI slot.
Any other ideas?
I would try some newer wireless cards, two or three at RB433.
It could be that the particular RouterBOARD is broken, if other newer cards do not work in it.
