thanks,
can you provide driver support for internal LAN on Gigabyte H61M-S2P
thanks,
you will have to provide supout rif, or at least
if other OS is installed at the moment - export hardware ID info - VID PID that sort of stuff - and send that to MT support
otherwise there is high chance your specific board has different chip than what could be found with < favorite web search engine> due to board revisions + experience shows manufacturers sometimes do not feel ethically inclined to have properly documented specifics of their hardware (they change chips when stock runs out and don’t update their revisions, websites and documentation which just undermines end user trust in their brand
)
If you send a picture of the chips on the motherboard to identify the NIC by the markings on the chips - that would be overkill I think - the ID from software is enough ![]()
Thanks for your favored and informative respond. I will try and do what you suggested. I think its a bright idea to shorten the support if provided in case chipset was manipulated and undocumented.
peace,
Will installing Mikrotik on Ubuntu using virtualbox could solve the driver problem?
Increasing the complexity and adding technologies significantly increases the chance of performance degradation, less than optimal results, decreased scalability, usability and people’s perception of the any aspect of the whole thing.
Unless you are a Virtual Box software developer, then it’s your job to make these work in an organised manner. ![]()
