Installation layout help for a newb - please?

Hi all,

I have recently begun using Mikrotik product, so it is all new to me. I have made some progress, but would like some advice for a little ‘learning project’ in my small office.

I have a RB411 connected to an ISP at the moment, supplying VOIP over one IP range, and very limited internet on another. I am having ADSL installed and would like to do the following:

RB493, with a single wireless card.

  • LAN 1 - connected to ADSL modem in bridge mode. Dialling using 2 PPPOE accounts, one unshaped for VOIP, and one ‘uncapped’ for general use;
  • LAN 2 connected to a switch for the VOIP network, with about 10 phones and a Trixbox. About 384 kbps of the 4Mbps to be dedicated to this line (using teh unshaped PPOE account)
  • LAN 3 connected to a RB411 on the roof, which will link to the rest of my wireless VPN.
  • LAN 4 a trusted ‘admin’ port via which I can connect to the Trixbox, the RB411, or any other device on my network
  • LAN 5-9 and WLAN 1 - untrusted port, firewalled, with DHCP, using remainder of 4Mb line (uncapped PPPOE account). The LAN ports will be used for printers and file servers, the WLAN for PCs.

I would HUGELY appreciate comments on teh above. Is it possible? What are the basic steps to setup each of the categories? I know about bridging, assigning IPs, WLAN security, DHCP etc (the basics), but am backward on teh advanced stuff.

Yours in anticipation.
