I got a RB433 installed with Openwrt.
Is there any way to install routeros again, without local access, just with ethernet?
Anyone succeeded installing routeros from Openwrt?
Maybe someone got a routeros 5 image in .bin ?
Maybe netinstall could do the job.
Netinstall requires Serial port
The equipment is mounted on a tower.
Maybe there is a way to do this:
system routerboard settings set boot-device=try-ethernet-once-then-nand
In openwrt
Can anybody help me flashing my rb411u without the serial port?
Netinstall does not require a serial port. Just hold the reset button before you apply power. Keep holding the button until the router shows up in Netinstall window. Then release button.
Is there a way to do this without pressing that button?
The board is on a tower. I can’t bring it down, just to flash it.
Maybe there is a way to enable the bootp with the ethernet port?
You have no access to console, to button or to software. I would say, climbing is your only option.
Isnt a way to simulate the pressing the reset button by crossing some contacts on the ethernet port?
Sorry there is not
But it could be implemented, couldn’t it? It would be useful.
