Integrate cAP 2n in existing network

Hi MikroTik Forum,

My first post here…
Unfortunately I got let down by my Tech, so now I have to figure this out myself.

I am trying to integrate a cAP 2n into an existing WiFi network.
The Network is currently set up with various APs running dd-wrt and the clients can move from one AP to another without interruption.
A central DHCP server is running on the gateway (a CCR1009-8G-1S).

My problem for now with the cAP 2n seems to be that it won’t pass on the DHCP information from the gateway to the clients.

Now I wonder if I have add a specific rule to the firewall for this or do I have to configure the DHCP Relay?
The DHCP Relay looks like something else to me…

Any hints and/to RTFMs appreciated.

Cheers

Have you bridged WiFi interface and your LAN to pass traffic as WiFi is not connected to LAN interfaces in hardware ?

Hi,

trying to figure that part out, I logged myself out to the point that I couldn’t log back in at all.
So I reseted the cAP 2n and now it’s working…

I guess the tech that let me down did some stupid stuff that even he couldn’t figure out to revert…

Thank you very much anyway…

Ben
