I’m looking for nice enterprise AP, such as is Ubiquiti UniFi but based on RouterOS. Does Mikrotik plan to offer similar device with decent enterprise design, 802.11n, 802.3af and management via Dude?
why do you consider the mentioned as an “enterprise” device? what properties do you find most appropriate for this name, enterprise?
UniFi lack lot of necessary features, so I’am looking for similar device based on ROS. Requested properties for such a device are: centralized management (Dude), lot of VLANs, SSID per VLAN, IPv6, radius, (ROS), and also discreet, compact, unobtrusive design for representative offices, lobbies, halls, and other places where big black box with power supply, long patch cord, 12dBi antenna and coax cable with bunch of N connectors cannot be hidden somewhere in ceiling or elsewhere. So I would like to have UniFi unit based on ROS from Mikrotik

Currently MikroTik don’t sell solutions you want.
Last month we tested these products:
http://www.zyxel.com/products_services/nxc5200.shtml
http://www.zyxel.com/products_services/nwa5000_series.shtml
They performed very well, even in building full of rogue APs.
HTH,
Thanks, looks promising. But price per AP is out of scope.
You asked about enterprise solution, so don’t complain the price is high
.
Regards,
check out this guys, they have a solution that is cul http://www.merunetworks.com
Although, i dont no your range of high prizes but enterprise solution is the highest solution and should be the most expensive.
this is a mikrotik forum. thanks for the suggestions, but let’s keep to mikrotik discussion only.
