Integrating RBcAP2n into RB2011UiAS-RM

Greetings,

I have recently purchased a RB2011UiAS-RM and a RBcAP2n. I have the basics setup and everything is running smoothly. I purchased this combo since I wanted the radio in a more centralized location than where the RB2011 would be racked.

My questions is seemingly simple; can I somehow “integrate” the RBcAP2n into the RB2011 so that I can manage it in one place? Basically you would normally find the onboard WiFi card (if I had one) listed under Wireless. I have read up a bit on CAPsman but I am not sure that this is the best way since I only have one device. Are there any negatives to CAPsman? a better way to integrate the RBcAP2n?

Thoughts?

Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to reply.

You can use bridges, vlans or capsman assuming that routing to Ap is not good idea for your case. Capsman is good when you need to set many APs. But you can use it also for one. Just try it and see if it is suitable for you. I would stay with bridging in your case.
