Integration of Mikrotik OS with Active Directory Server 2012.

Hlw everyone..
I have been in trouble for so long time searching regarding my qstn..let me elaborate my sanario.
I want to desing a small ISP network with mikrotik and Server2012. I want to use mikrotik OS for :
1)Routing
2)Firewall
3)Logging
4)Bandwidth allocation /user
5)Billing
6)Load balancing+fault tolarence

Can I configurer all these functions ? Along with the following :

1)I want ot integrate mirkotik with Active Directory running on server 2012, the users in active directory (my clients) should be connected to the internt but server 2012 should be used as RADIUS

  1. A central DHCP server running on Serve r2012 for IP address leases for all machines.

  2. My clients should only have access to FTP server which is running on server 2012 too. not anything else..? I want to know is it possible to separate the clients based on the traffic…I mean if the destination is google.com then where I have to configure my clients for WAN routing and separte them from local lan…? to be configured on DNS (server 2012)


    I don’t know how to explain but if you understand my point kindly respond me…

That is all pretty straightforward. When you don’t have the expertise to research things like this, I advise you to
take some training or hire some external expertise.

I have done and came on this stage but to finalize this i posted here, I want to know am I right or wrong the way I want to implement ?

No I think it is quite straightforward to do this but you need to know how to enable RADIUS server and possibly also
SYSLOG server on Windows 2012 and how to configure RADIUS authentication on MikroTik and the other features
you want.

This is all available on internet, but you will have to piece things together and need to have the skills to test and debug
it, because this is almost impossible by posting on a forum.

Thanx for your kind advise… I am a beginner but trying to understand.
If I have any problem in future, I’ll consult again.

All things are clear to me but I think when I’ll perform prototype using vmware and Gns3 will come to know exactly …
