Intel 82579LM Gigabit crashing on stable version (RESOLVED)

I have two X86 routers on exactly the same hardware for redundancy. Both routers were stable on version 7.10.2 but since they were upgraded to the latest stable version, the motherboard’s gigabit ethernet NIC (Intel 82579LM) keeps crashing. I downloaded and reinstalled the X86 stable version and the port works but crashes after a short while. After a reboot, the NIC works for a while but crashes shortly after. That ethernet port is only used to connect via Winbox so very low traffic. The other NIC is a PCIE dual port X520 for WAN (PPPOE) and trunk traffic.

Is there a known work around?

Both routers were stable on version 7.10.2

What exact "latest stable" are you referring to? Please include exact version.

What exactly crashes? And how? Anything in the logging?

Here is the error message:

Seriously?

There is one device connected on that port?

The routers are on version 7.21.2. I now see that version 7.21.3 became available 3 days ago. I doubt a minor upgrade version will make much of a difference but I will upgrade to 7.21.3 and get back to the forum.

Only 1 device ever connects to the ethernet “management” port (ether2) as necessary. I normally connect via the management VLAN and use the management port as backup.

I don't see anything strange at all, nor do I see any errors,
simply the DHCP server is not active because the ethernet is... INACTIVE... = NOT-running... there is nothing attached...

Thanks everyone for your help. I was able to login Winbox via the management VLAN but not via the management ethernet port (ether2). Seeing the message “— Interface not running”, I assumed it was the cause but once I found out that it wasn’t an actual error message, I looked closely at the configuration script and found that /tool/mac-server/set allowed-interface-list had been changed to NONE.

/ip/neighbor/discovery-settings/set discover-interface-list=MGMT_INTERFACES
/tool/mac-server/set allowed-interface-list=MGMT_INTERFACES
/tool/mac-server/mac-winbox/set allowed-interface-list=MGMT_INTERFACES

Thanks everyone, your help was much appreciate!
