intel dn2800mt big latency(ros 5.20)

Hi on one sight, I had alix, but changed it for intel atom board - intel dn2800mt. Because of very low energy consumption(15w) and passive cooling.
Before it, there was alix board(pci engines). TThe procesor of alix ran on 70%, in intel just max. 5%.
But the problem is big ping on both ethernet ports(one is integrated intel) and anothere is intel pro/1000 ct.
Both are working, but ping to other router(connected using 3m ethernet cable, is in average about 4ms(before it was max.1ms…).
I didnt tryed to turn off hyperthreading.

What do you think? What can be wrong? Do you think, that downgrade could help?

Hi, try without hyperthreading it should be better.

after turning off hyperthreading in bios, everything works like a charm…

power consumption between 16-17Wh, without any consumption optimisations…

5% CPU usage at what throughput? NAT+firewall+mangle+conn track?

I’m interested in this board myself as it is cheap and high performance. If I get it, I’m thinking of modifying the pcie x1 slot to accommodate pcie x4 RB44ge card to bypass potential NIC driver incompatibilities in ROS.

(higher - alix, low- atom…dont notice high peaks and empty fields in graphs - I was testing atom…)
