INTEL� GIGABIT ET2 QUAD PORT SERVER ADAPTER is not supporting by Mikrotik, but can is accepting by Windows 7 on same board, need help.

Recommended solution is to use CHR instead of x86 as it solve all driver issues etc.. Topics like this are here every month. (I suspect x86 was never really intended to be run on normal computers but instead, it was released as Mikrotik was experimenting with x86 architecture in RB260)


All you need to do is get some (even free) hypervisor and then you can download and run your virtualized router.
except solving your driver issues, It has actually significantly better licence conditions:

  • Licence can be transferred between instances. For example if you later decide to remove your current router, you will free up your licence and you can use it next time anywhere else.
  • Licence contain all features. Limited is only per-interface-speed based on licence level (1Mbit = free, 1Gbit = $45, 10Gbit = $95, unlimited = $250)
  • You get 60 days free trial for any licence. After your trial is over, everything stays working except system updates.

Windows Server 2012*, Windows 8*, Windows Server 2008 R2*, Windows 7*, Windows Server 2008*, Windows Vista*, Windows Server 2003 R2*, Windows Server 2003*, Linux* Stable Kernel version 3.x, 2.6,x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux* 5, 6, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server* 10, 11, FreeBSD 9*, , VMware ESX/ESXi*

As vecernik87 already told you please use CHR instead of x86 and you will solve all driver issues.
To conclude get some (even free) hypervisor ( HyperV - Windows world, ESXi and so one) and then you can download and run your virtual router.
