Intel PRO/1000 Ethernet MTU > 1500 not working!

ROS 6.33.5
if i change on intel eth mtu=1550, packet that have size > 1500 not work!
(on other side i have RB951, mtu=1550 too..)
link on 951<>951 thith same mtu work great…
951<>intel x86 mtu > 1500 not work
then MTx86 have normal intel driver?
problem not only in mtu…
if the connection is lost several times, the link is up only 10, is operating normally after restarting pc…

tested on cards:
82574L Gigabit Network
82572EI Gigabit Ethernet

The first card cannot do MTU > 1500
The second one can. Are you sure you did the test on both of them?

Why cannot do?
In spec this card support jumbo and i see in winbox that supported l2mtu 9000!!
I think that ros intel driver is very unstable !
Second card have many packet loss when load >20-40mbps, pps> 3000…
Intel is very popular card,
Mt, upgrade please intel driver!!!
