in windows8 it should by default trough mbim drivers.
If you would like, you could test the HUAWEI ME906E 4G LTE NGFF M.2 with RouterBoard. You’ll need an adapter to convert it to mPCIe.
That would be really helpful. The ME906E uses considerably less power than its mPCIe counterpart, which works with RB.
