Hi All
I recently configured a VLAN (99) to secure all radios on my network
It works fine
My only problem is I cant ping even the router VLAN IP (Gateway) from my normal Lan network however if i use a device on the VLAN i have access
i.e
LAN (Default Vlan) 10.0.0.0/16 (Internet and all ping works fine except ping going to vlan 99)
VLAN 99 10.0.99.0/24 (Internet also works here and ping to all networks)
any advice
Probably an issue with the forward rules in your firewall filter
How vlan can secure all radios on your network?

I use ubiquiti
so i created a managment VLAN which is 99 so all radios are on this VLAN as a brigde2
What this will do is that all clients connected will still get their ip from the router and all but only computers on VLAN 99 can login to the radio.
Never mind. You can be missing routes somewhere, ip forwarding can be off, some firewall rules may be blocking or whatever. Run ping and traceroute to see where the packets disappear. Use torch on interfaces…
Debug it.
Where is your default gateway IP for vlan 99 assigned?
If you look at your route list, is there a specific route to your Wifi VLAN(99)?
If not, you can actually add one.
