Interface stats vs Torch - mismatch ....

Hello all … bit of a strange one here, or so it seems to me.

I have a CRS 125 in my office and to extend the network into the house I have added a HAP AC2 on a direct ethernet cable with an SSID configured to serve users in the house.

Device gets a static IP from DHCP and all seems rosey, wifi clients connect and get what they need - great.

I monitor the devices via the dude and spotted that the traffic to / from this device seemed high … so I fired up torch and nothing … no mater what port I run torch against I cannot see whats causing the traffic, see screenshot below - shows eth3 under load - but torch, nothing that gets anywhere near …

Anyone have any ideas please, its maybe nothing to worry about, BUT …

Nik

Just to add … i actually put 3 of these in the house and it looks like at 3 are exhibiting the same symptoms :frowning:

Another oddity i have spotted here …

The numbers that SNMP are reporting are very different to the RouterOS stats i am seeing in the dude :frowning:
