Hi all,
we’re a growing wISP, and we’re tryng to discover whether User Manager can be the right solution for us.
We have hotspot and PPPoE users over several networks.
Does somebody knows how the user manager database can be interfaced with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) ?
We’d like to have one complete tool to track down customer calls, data and profiles (maybe in groups).
Second question: how can i set up the pppoe profile in the user manager? suche feature would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Roberto
Hey Roberto, we use a custom perl based CRM for our hotspot systems and usermanager.
We just do simple creation of scripts in the CRM and FTP them to the usermanager box which runs a regular import script to import the new users.
In the hotspot server you have user profiles, you can use the group attribute in usermanager to specify which user profile to use, so I think you should be able to do it with PPPOE somehow.

Thanks a lot!
I was looking for a non-custom solution, but yours sound really simple, so it shouldn’t be difficult to implement.

Roberto
So is this possible with Sugar CRM? Sugar CRM is tightly integrated to our Trixbox IP PBX and now we would like to take that info and tie it with userman.
